Relief as plucky Friday found 02.06.11

A PLUCKY collie who went missing last week leaving his owner distraught has turned up safe and well.
Eight year old Friday, disappeared from a house in the Carndonagh area last Thursday and was last spotted on the Derry road.
However, there were celebrations all round yesterday after the dog was found near the Foyle roundabout in Derry.
Friday...a great friend every day of the week.
Owner Sonia Chanon got the dog after her friend accidentally hit him when he ran out in front of her car on a Friday, three years ago.
"She thought the dog was dead. She put a blanket over him and took him to the vet. He had a broken rib and a broken tooth and was in shock," said French-born Sonia.
"Then, it was like he came back from the dead. My friend wanted to call him Lazarus at first, but we thought Friday was better." He has since been a "great friend" to Sonia every day of the week. Friday is also micro-chipped.
The French woman, who has lived in Inishowen for the past four years, has two other dogs. She thanked everyone who helped search for Friday.
