Children urged to 'Meet your Club' 05.04.11

DONEGAL Sports Partnership along with Greencastle Community Centre will host a series of free sampler sessions for children between the ages of 3 and 7 in the coming weeks.
The first series will be 'Meet Your Club' sessions co-hosted with the local sports clubs. The project is being funded by the Donegal Peace III programme.
Greencastle FC, Moville GAA, Moville Celtic and the tennis and badminton clubs will be sending their coaches to individual club training sessions for their youngest players in the Community Centre sports hall. In addition to the young club members younger children and their parents will be invited to come and sample the sport and talk to the coaches about club activities.

The second series will be simply interactive play sessions co-hosted by the local primary schools and pre-schools. Each primary school will team up with a pre-school group. Children and their parents will be invited to come to the sports hall during a normal school day morning to join the teachers in a session of interactive play to encourage children and parents to develop a habit of healthy play on a regular basis. There will be no competitive sport involved in these sessions.
St Colmcille’s, Greencastle, will be joining up with Greencastle Community Childcare for their session. Gaelscoil cois Feabhail, Moville, will join with Naiscoil cois Feabhail, Greencastle. St Columb’s, Moville, will join with Little Learners Pre-school, Greencastle, and St Eugene’s, Moville will join with Little Stars Pre-school, Moville.
All parents are welcome to come along. All sessions are free.
