Sales workshop for small Inishowen
firms

SALES experts in the
North West will be hosting a workshop in Burt next
week to show small local businesses how to sell more
effectively.
The event, called 'Hope is not a strategy – using
tested techniques to drive better sales results', is
being organised by Donegal County Enterprise Board
as part of Enterprising Donegal Business Week 2011.
Keynote speaker and workshop facilitator will be
North West sales consultant Stephen Friel. Other
speakers will include Seamus McEwen, founder of
McEwen Electrical, Monica McGeary of Integrated
Marketing Management and Paddy Devlin of Devlin
Associates. The event will provide a practical
overview of the key points for developing a
successful sales strategy for your business. |

“Stephen and the rest
of the panel will show local businesses a practical
set of tools they can use to get better at selling,
using real-life examples to explain how the tools
work," said Donegal County Enterprise Board
assistant chief executive, Ursula Donnelly.
After completing studies at the University of Ulster
and Kent State University in Ohio, Stephen Friel
joined Sony Ireland in Dublin, progressing to become
senior sales manager with the company. He also
completed his MBA at the same time.
Seamus McEwen has been in business for 28 years
while Monica McGeary founded Integrated Marketing
Management, a telesales business, 10 years ago.
Before setting up his own consultancy, Paddy Devlin
had over 15 years experience as sales and marketing
manager for craft bakery Genesis and Provita
Eurotech Ltd. The workshop takes place on Thursday,
March 10, 2011 at 8am in An Grianan Hotel, Burt. |
