Icely done: Skating 'giants' drop in to Derry 11.12.14

ICE skating 'giants' Andrew Dickson and Mark Garside showed the amateurs how it's done when they dropped in to the winter rink at Derry's Ebrington Square.
The hockey players with the Belfast Giants demonstrated some of the speed skating techniques that draw their regular fans to the Odyssey.
The team-mates got a warm welcome from local children, who were delighted to join in the fun and pick up a few tips from the experts.

Derry Mayor Councillor Brenda Stevenson also got her skates on: “There is a bit of a skating craze in the city at the moment and the opportunity to see some of the professionals in action will certainly be an inspiration for the children who gathered to watch them today. It was extremely impressive – these guys just make it look so easy.”
