INISHOWEN has its Wild Atlantic Way but one local photographer has managed to capture an even more celestial event for tourists to follow.

Talented Buncrana snapper Adam Rory Porter managed to capture a rare sight including the Northern Lights and Milky Way as he toured around Kinnego Bay in Inishowen.

"A nice surprise as the edge of the Milky Way rises over the North Atlantic," said a delighted Adam.
"As we landed down to the beach, the beautiful stars shone bright in the sky and we dodged the racing tide to catch a few photos. There is nothing like a a sheltered bay on a quiet clear night with the stars above you, the waves crashing and an unexpected Aurora peeking over the cliffs to your left," added the popular dad.
