Margo: “I’ve not been home since mam died” 04.04.15

IRISH country legend Margo O’Donnell has revealed she has not visited Kincasslagh since her mother died almost a year ago.
The singer (64), the older sister of entertainer Daniel, said she finds it “too hard” to go back to her home place since Julia died last May at the age of 94.
“I used to go back (to Kincasslagh) a lot. I went back for her month’s mind (Mass) and I’ve never been back since. I don’t know when I’ll go, it’s too hard at the minute so I’ll stay away,” she said.
Julia died on May 18 as her five grown-up children kept a bedside vigil.
“I find it very difficult to live without my mam. I miss her so much. I never thought it would be like this but I’m getting there. She is helping me,” Margo said in a YouTube video interview with Cork country music promoter, Hugh O’Brien (Hot Country TV).
Margo, who lives in Castleblaney, Co Monaghan, was famously close to Julia.
She revealed last year that a build-up of stress and anxiety in the weeks following her mother’s death, led her to suffer a heart attack.

She will step back from performing when her 50th anniversary concert tour draws to a close in August.
Meanwhile, Daniel (53) is enjoying his first extended break from music in his 30-year career.
He and his wife, breast cancer survivor Majella (54), are currently relaxing at their villa in sunny Tenerife.
The couple is also looking forward to the birth of their first grandchild, when Majella’s daughter Siobhan gives birth in the summer.
Daniel recently posted a video telling fans that they are very much enjoying uninterrupted downtime together.
“We’re having a lovely time here (in Tenerife) relaxing and not doing very much I have to say. But it really is lovely to have time to do that,” he said.
