Meeting to discuss Donegal animal rescue 30.03.16

A public meeting about the future of animal welfare and rescue services in Donegal is to take place next week.
The event has been organised to deal with the fall-out from the sudden closure of Donegal Pet Rescue.
Topics to be discussed at the meeting will include: putting a new rescue service in place; taking names of potential new committee members; arranging a structure to cover the whole county and getting public opinion and feedback about the best way forward.
"Last but not least, discussing how we turn the dream of having our own rescue centre in Donegal into a reality," said one of the original founding members of Donegal Pet Rescue, Mickey Forde.
Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting as are vets, dog groomers, boarding kennel and pet shop owners.
"You do not have to be an animal lover to attend this meeting, you may excel in other areas and feel you would like to contribute to this venture," he added.
The meeting will take place at The Station House hotel, Letterkenny, on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 8pm. For more information, please contact Mickey on 087 2368386.
