Renewed appeal for missing doctor 28.01.10

GARDAI have renewed their appeal in the case of Dr Deirdre O'Flaherty who disappeared in Inishowen a year ago.
Dr O'Flaherty went missing in the coastal Kinnego Bay area on Sunday, January 11, 2009. Her silver BMW 4X4, registration number ADZ 100, was found abandoned on the beach by a person out walking at 10.40am that day.
The 47-year old's disappearance sparked a massive air and sea search that lasted for many days, but no trace of her was ever found.
Dr Deirdre O'Flaherty who went missing at Kinnego Bay on January 11, 2009. Gardai renewed their appeal this week through the Crimecall programme on RTE One.
"An extensive search of the area has failed to locate Deirdre O’Flaherty and she remains missing to this date," said Gardai.
Dr O'Flaherty worked as a GP for the Western Urgent Care Out of Hours service in Derry and practiced under her maiden name, Donnelly.
She lived in the Strabane area with her husband and three children and was visiting the family holiday home in Kinnego Bay when she went missing.
Gardaí in Buncrana continue to investigate the case. Anyone with information is asked to call 074 932 0504.
