ICRfm celebrates 10th anniversary 10.11.10

INISHOWEN Community Radio reaches a major milestone this month when it marks its 10th anniversary. The community radio station went on air for the first time on November 13, 2000 and has been broadcasting to the local area ever since.
Over the years, ICRfm has developed a wide and varied programming schedule, featuring an eclectic mix of music and talk shows, current affairs and documentaries. Jazz, alternative rock, indie music, classical and Irish traditional are just some of the musical genres you’ll hear on the station.
ICRfm's remit is to educate, inform and entertain and, from an initial output of just eight hours per day, the station now broadcasts 92 hours each week.
ICRfm has won several awards for its programmes and provides training and broadcasting opportunities for all sectors of society.
"ICRfm would like to thank all the advertisers and sponsors who have supported the station during the last ten years. Likewise, the station would like to thank all of the local media for their support down the years and hopes that this will continue for years to come," said a spokesperson.
To celebrate its significant birthday, ICRfm is inviting all past and present volunteers and board members, friends, listeners and contributors to the station, local businesses who have advertised over the
