New radio courses at ICRfm 31.03.10

INISHOWEN Community Radio is organising a series of training courses for adults in radio broadcasting. The courses in Community Radio Broadcasting Skills start in April and are accredited by FETAC and supported by Donegal VEC Adult Education Service.
"The courses are aimed at anyone with an interest in community radio or broadcasting generally and suitable for both beginners and those with experience," said ICRfm station manager, Jim Doherty.
"We particularly invite applications from unemployed, early school-leavers and those with less than upper second level education."
ICRfm station manager, Jim Doherty The courses are funded by Donegal VEC Back to Education Initiative (BTEI) which provides part-time further education programmes for young people and adults.
The courses will cover a wide range of skills and topics including Adobe Audition, interview techniques, programme production, research skills and presentation techniques. The courses start on April 21, 2010. Places are limited and the application deadline is
