The book was commissioned by the Clonmany Town Renewal Committee with funding from the Inishowen Development Partnership and the Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources.
Prominently featured is a series of interviews with local fishermen.
"These (interviews) are offered to the people of Clonmany as a reminder of a dying way of life," says
Ms Doherty.
The book was designed, compiled and written by Rosemarie.
It will be launched at Trasna House, Ballyliffin, on Friday, March 12, at 8.00pm. The launch will be performed by former Irish Ambassador James A. Sharkey who has also written thte foreword to the book.
Ms Doherty describes Mr Sharkey's foreword as an ideal compliment to "the fortitude, endurance and eloquence of those from the coastal community of Clonmany who have gone before".
