Long-awaited movie premiere for Buncrana 12.04.10

THE feature film 'A Shine of Rainbows' will receive its long-awaited Inishowen premiere in Buncrana Cinema on April 22.
The film, starring Aidan Quinn and Connie Nielsen, was shot on location around the peninsula in 2008 and featured a host of local actors and extras from Donegal.
Cinemagic International Film and Television for Young People and Donegal County Council’s Film Office said they were delighted to bring a special preview of the film locally.
Aideen Doherty of Donegal County Council's Film Office, said she looked forward to the showcasing of Inishowen through the movie, which was directed by grammy winner Vic Sarin.
"A Shine of Rainbows' is about to open in North America and cultural and tourism providers in the peninsula have an opportunity to capitalise on Inishowen being viewed by potential visitors to the area.
"By screening the film in Buncrana, Cinemagic has provided people living in this spectacular peninsula to take time to reflect on how lucky we are to reside here.
"The cinematography in 'A Shine of Rainbows' highlights the need to value and look after this coveted resource that we often take for granted.”
The film, which also filmed in Letterkenny, had its Northern Ireland premiere at Cinemagic, Belfast, last November where it picked up the
