Man dies in Burnfoot crash 26.11.07

A 21-year old man died in a single vehicle crash in the early hours of yesterday at Drumhaggart, Burnfoot.
Jonathan Sheerin, Brookhill, Derry, was believed to be the driver of the car. The Vauxhaull Cavalier was travelling from Muff towards Burnfoot when it lost control and crashed into a ditch around 4.30am.
The body of Mr. Sheerin was taken to Letterkenny General Hospital along with an injured male passenger. Two other men were taken to Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry after the accident.
One was later transferred to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.
The man taken to Letterkenny is described as in a serious condition while the third is "ill but stable" in Altnagelvin.
The incident is under investigation by local Gardaí. The road was closed until lunchtime yesterday while the scene was being examined by forensic crash investigators.
