Further three-year contract
for ICRfm 29.03.07
Inishowen Community
Radio, ICRfm, is celebrating after being granted a
further operating contract for three years.
Chairperson of the Dail committee on Rural Affairs,
Deputy Cecilia Keaveney, said the ICRfm contract had
been approved at current levels for another three
years under the Community Services Programme.
“We have a number of Community Service Programme
projects in Inishowen and I’m delighted that ICRfm
has been added to the list of approved projects in
the peninsula,” said Deputy Keaveney. |

“This programme is an important mechanism for
providing employment in a community-based setting
and Minister O Cuiv clearly values the contribution
they make to a rural economy and society.” |
Deputy Keaveney said she had worked strenuously with
the Minister on the Community Services Programme and
had brought a number of groups to meet him on
several occasions.
“It is heartening that this work has paid off for
the listeners and staff of Inishowen Community
Radio,” she said. |
