Ballyliffin man is €57,000 richer

A young Inishowen man
has won €57,000 on the first National Lottery summer
gameshow 'The Big Money'.
Michael McLaughlin from Shore Road, Ballyliffin,
appeared on the TV show last Saturday along with
host Derek Mooney. His prize includes a holiday to
Greece.
He bought his winning scratch card in Corrib Oil
service station, Fairgreen, Portlaoise, Co Laois.
The Big Money scratchcard offers players the chance
to win instant prizes up to €100,000. Five players
are selected each week to appear on the show with
the chance to win holidays, cars and up to a
whopping €250,000 cash. |

Since its launch, over
€3.6 billion has been raised for good causes through
the National Lottery. The company says the funding
has made "a significant difference to communities,
projects and individuals in the areas of youth,
sports, recreation and amenities, health and
welfare, arts, culture, national heritage and the
Irish language. |
