Hallelujah Chorus for Carn

A CHAPEL in Carndonagh
will be filled with the sound of sacred, classical
music for a free charity concert in aid of cancer
patients.
The Donagh Church Choir presents an evening concert
of music for voice, organ and recorder in the Church
of the Sacred Heart on Sunday, June 12 at 7.30pm.
Guest performers will include Joseph Deery, Danielle
Cavanagh, Melissa Craig and Niamh McCullough as well
as the Bev Doherty Recorder Ensemble. |

The choir, with
director Helen Haughey and organist Mike Doherty,
will perform ‘Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring’, with
Ciara Fagan on recorder.
Karen McLaughlin will feature as soprano soloist in
a special version of ‘The Lord’s My Shepherd’. The
concert will conclude with a stirring selection from
Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus.
Admission is free but there will be a charity
collection for the Irish Cancer Society on the
night. Everyone welcome. |
