JOB seekers in
Inishowen will have access to a free 20-hour
training programme to help them get into education,
enterprise or employment.
The programme called 'Winning New Opportunities' (WNO)
is funded by the International Fund for Ireland and
will take place in Buncrana from February 21 -
February 24.
Topics covered by specially-trained WNO facilitators
will include identifying one' skills, strengths, and
interests; finding openings in education,
volunteering, enterprise, and employment; effective
interviewing techniques; application form, CV, and
cover letter writing; networking for opportunities
and dealing with obstacles and set backs.
To date, WNO training programmes have been run in
Donegal, Sligo, Galway, Limerick, and Tipperary. A
recent survey found that 92 percent of respondents
felt they had benefitted "a great deal" from the
programme, said a spokesperson.
The Buncrana programme will be facilitated by Tuath
in collaboration with the Inishowen Development
Partnership. The programme will take place at the
Inishowen Development Partnership offices, St Mary's
Road, Buncrana, for four hours per day. Please call
