people will be delighted to hear that new summer
flights from Derry to Paris will begin in May.
Flybe is to fly five days a week from City of Derry
Airport to Charles De Gaulle Airport from May 19
until September 25, 2011.
The route will operate via Manchester Airport and
will be ideal for romantic getaways, business or for
students of French.
It is hoped it will also provide a tourism boost
with improved access to the North West for visitors
from continental Europe. |

Airport board chairman,
Roy Devine said: “It is great to have a northern
European route on our network, especially one that
has potential to bring visitors into the region.”
City of Derry Airport Operations Ltd was
incorporated as a limited company in April 2010 and
is wholly-owned by Derry City Council.
A ten year management services contract was awarded
last October to Parsons Brinckerhoff/Regional & City
Airports; a Balfour Beatty company, to operate the
airport on behalf of the airport and Derry City
Council. Information on the new flights is available
