Talented Caoimhe gets on her bike
31.01.11
CARN schoolgirl Caoimhe
Browne is cycling around in style after winning a
brand new bike in a national art competition.
Caoimhe was one of only six children whose winning
artwork saw off nearly 1,000 entries in the
Pharmaton Kiddi Health 'Design a T-shirt'
competition. She is now enjoying her new bicycle and
safety helmet. The judges found one outstanding
entry in each of the four different age categories.
Caoimhe produced the winning entry in the 6-9 year
old age group. |

Other winning entries
came from children in Cork, Cavan and Dublin.
Pharmaton's Louise White said: “We were delighted
with the level of interest and number of entries in
the competition again this year. Now in its second
year the competition was extremely well received by
pharmacies and consumers alike and we would like to
thank all of those who got involved and massive
congratulations to our worthy winners."
Pharmaton Kiddi Health is designed to support
children's everyday health. The competition asked
children to design a T-shirt based on their
favourite way to stay active. Entries varied from
GAA-themed designs to the more holistic kid’s yoga
designs. Some stars of the future based their
designs on the national football and rugby squads,
while others focused more on their own sports teams,
designing T-shirts with their local county colours
and strips. |
