THE authorities in
Derry have issued an update on a product recall of a
carbon monoxide alarm that may NOT detect levels of
the lethal gas. Sensor Safe Ltd recently contacted
Limavady Borough Council’s Environmental Health
Department concerning its Carbon Monoxide Alarm
SF80190. Test results have confirmed that the alarms
may not work and as a result have been withdrawn
from sale. |

All existing stock has
been quarantined with a recall on those already
sold. There remains a large number of monitors
unaccounted for throughout the North and people are
being urged to return the alarm to their supplier. |
