He said this would be
key to saving threatened teaching posts at schools
in Donegal.
“The new ground for appeal announced by the Minister
for Education Ruairi Quinn TD today is the key to
saving threatened teaching posts at our schools. The
Staffing Appeals Board will now be open to all small
schools that can project rising enrolments in the
coming years, which would allow the schools to
retain posts.
“The Appeals Board will now assess appeals from
schools that can project increased pupil numbers in
the future. This was the key pledge that rural Fine
Gael TDs were looking for in this debate. |
