FREE tickets for two
Derry concerts featuring 'The Undertones' and 'The
Saw Doctors' will go on release this Saturday.
The Legenderry Concert, at Ebrington, from 6pm-9pm
on Thursday, July 5, is part of the Clipper
Homecoming Festival and will feature 'The
Undertones', Paul Casey, Paddy Nash and the Happy
Enchiladas.
The Clipper Connections Concert, also at Ebrington
the following night, Friday, July 6, from
8pm-10.30pm will feature 'The Saw Doctors', the
unique 'Red Hot Chilli Pipers', 'The James Peake
Experience' and Eoghan Quigg. Dragon dancers and
musical acts from around the world will also take
part.
The first lot of tickets for these free concerts
will be released for distribution this Saturday,
June 23 at Lisnagelvin Shopping Centre between 4pm -
7pm. They can also be obtained at Foyleside Shopping
Centre between 1pm - 3pm.
A second release of tickets will also be available
from Cool Discs, Foyle Street; and from information
points along the Quay during the Clipper Homecoming
Festival, in the days leading up to the concerts.
Tickets will be limited to two per person.
The Clipper 11-12 race started from Southampton,
England, on July 31. It runs every two years and is
the only event in the world where people from all
walks of life can take on the challenge of a
lifetime and race around the globe on stripped down
ocean racing yachts.
The race has so far taken the crews to Rio de
Janeiro, South Africa, China, Australia, and West
Coast USA. |
