INISHOWEN scored well
as students and staff of the North West Regional
College gathered to celebrate achievements in sport. |

The event, now a firm
highlight in the college's calendar year, saw the
presentation of awards to players of the year in a
number of categories including awards for the
overall sportsman and woman of the year.
Special acknowledgement at the event went the men’s
Gaelic football team who were finalists in the
All-Ireland Further Education Championship earlier
this year. |

Awards to Inishowen recipients were as follows:
Judo Player of the Year, Kathleen McNaught from
Moville; Soccer Players' Player of the Year, Niamh
Connolly from Fahan; Ladies GAA Player of the Year,
Catherine McCloskey and Players' Player of the Year,
Caroline Gallagher, from Buncrana; Men's Athletes of
the Year, James Walton and Declan Donaghy from
Carndonagh.
Another Donegal recipient was Niamh Mailey from
Convoy who picked up the Ladies Soccer Player of the
Year title. |
