The company is
encouraging Irish couples to turn off their
smartphones and turn on their partners when the
lights are out during the eco-friendly event on
March 29.
“Earth Hour provides the perfect opportunity for
Irish couples to switch off for an hour and focus
exclusively on reconnecting with each other," said
Durex Ireland brand manager Riona Durkan.
Last year some 7,000 towns and cities around the
world took part in Earth Hour by switching off all
non-essential lights and gadgets.
The event, founded seven years ago, is designed to
create awareness about environmental issues facing
nature and the planet.
Earth Hour takes place this year on March 29 from
8.30pm - 9.30pm. |
