People living in the peninsula have been joining visitors in enjoying a late season extension to the summer.
Swimmers have reported pleasant water temperatures with anglers enjoying good if not bumper mackerel catches in Lough Swilly.
Forecasters say the weather will remain mostly dry for the rest of this week with some sunny intervals and temperatures reaching highs of 19 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, our breathtaking sunrises and sunsets have been delighting professional and amateur photographers alike.
And no Indian Summer would be complete without a few staple Donegal phrases to help it along: "It'll shorten the winter for us"; "There are people going abroad for this"; "Sure we're saving on the heating"; "The poor wains and them back at school". Here's hoping it lasts..."The winter will be long enough, so it will."
