"Labour has delivered for
Inishowen" - Farren

THE Labour Party has
"delivered key projects" for the county including
Inishowen, the party has said at its Donegal AGM.
Moville-based Cllr Martin Farren who was re-elected
to Donegal County Council last May, outlined the
projects that have been delivered in his area as a
result of Labour's participation in Government.
He said these included €1.8 million for Moville
Community College and the retention of Greencastle
Post Office.
“No-one can come up to me and say that Labour hasn’t
delivered for my community, it has,” said Cllr
Farren.
He also referred to a new €130,000 pedestrian
footbridge for Moville "which was the envy of other
areas and which will be completed before the end of
the year". |

The Donegal branch of
the county also outlined a number of commitments
delivered on including a 7.75 per cent drop in the
Live Register this year; nine school building
projects underway or in the pipeline; high speed
broadband for secondary schools and 31 Donegal
unfinished estates tackled last year.
The AGM also welcomed the €10m investment in the
Wild Atlantic Way which was already reaping rewards.
Meanwhile, well-known Greencastle man Seamus Bovaird
has been elected chairman of the Donegal Labour.
Labour stalwart, Seamus Rodgers was elected honorary
president.
