STUDENTS heading to NUI
Galway for the first time and their parents can
avail of a dedicated online Questions and Answers
service that will open this Wednesday.
The university has launched the internet Q&A service
to compliment its existing student telephone
hotline. The online initiative will facilitate
students and their parents with the option to ask
questions on a dedicated forum, while the hotline
service team will be available to answer caller
queries.
NUIG expects an intake of over 3,000 new students in
September including hundreds from Co Donegal
including Inishowen. Anticipated queries will
include points requirements for courses; first round
offers; registration processes; start dates; fees
and accommodation options.
A team of specially-trained staff and students will
be on hand to answer any questions students and
parents may have.
The hotline will be available from Monday to Friday,
9am to 6pm and on Saturday, August 16 and August 23,
10am to 1pm.
Both the hotline and the online service will also be
active throughout first year orientation week
commencing on September 1. Both will remain in
service for two weeks after lectures begin on
September 8.
The first year student hotline is 091 493999 and the
online Q&A is at
