Solicitor publishes part-two of
crime trilogy

A DERRY
solicitor-turned crime writer has just published the
eagerly-awaited second instalment of his Valberg
triology.
Desmond J Doherty's debut thriller 'Valberg' follows
Detective Jon Valberg as he pursues a killer bent on
revenge whose stalking the streets of Derry.
It received critical acclaim and was described by
international best-selling author of the ‘Jack
Reacher’ series Lee Child as ‘first rate’.
The second instalment, 'Sins of the Fathers', sees
the return of a deadly assassin. |
And while before,
Gerard O’Driscoll inflicted brutal revenge on the
jury who wrongly convicted him of child murder, this
time he’s working his way up the legal ladder.
Police, lawyers, judges – no-one is safe.
Valberg leads the hunt to nail the killer and expose
his shadowy accomplices but he soon finds out how
personal it’s about to become.
Doherty runs his own law firm which has developed
expertise in human rights and major justice issues.
He has been involved in the Bloody Sunday Inquiry
and the inquests into the Dublin and Monaghan
bombings and the Omagh bombing atrocity. He loves
the arts and claims to be Ireland’s number one Rush

He says he was
delighted at the reception to his first novel.
“It was particularly significant to have seasoned
crime-writers like Lee Child and Brian McGilloway
give their stamp of approval to the first book,” he
said. His second book, published by Guildhall Press,
was launched last night at the Tower Hotel. |
