MAJELLA O'Donnell will
encourage other cancer survivors and patients this
Bank Holiday weekend at a major charity event in
Letterkenny.
Majella recently marked two years' cancer-free after
undergoing a double mastectomy for breast cancer in
2014.
In April, she celebrated her 56th birthday - her
second birthday milestone since getting the all
clear - during a world cruise with singer husband
Daniel O'Donnell.
The couple will join hundreds of cancer survivors,
patients and their families at the 24-hour Relay for
Life fundraiser on Saturday and Sunday.
Daniel will be among a number of entertainers taking
part in the action-packed programme in the grounds
of Letterkenny Institute of Technology.
The couple shared a video message ahead of the Irish
Cancer Society fundraiser which celebrates
survivors, remembers those lost to the disease and
encourages patients to fight back.
Majella said: “I’d like to encourage everyone to
come out and support this fantastic event. As we all
know, cancer affects nearly all of us in our lives
and we all need to get behind this and support it."
Daniel added: "We want to be part of Relay for Life
Donegal 2016. We certainly hope that it will be a
great success."
Daniel will be the closing act at the two-day
festival when he takes to the stage on Sunday at
4pm. For full programme, see below... |
