DESTINATION offerings at
City of Derry Airport continue to grow with the take-off
of the first ski programme to operate from the airport
with Topflight in January, the new year-round Ryanair
Birmingham service recently announced to launch in April
and the return of the Faro summer service with Travel
Solutions available from May. The Airport has also now
announced the return of Joe Walsh Tours’ pilgrimages to
Lourdes for Summer 2024.
The first ski programme in history to operate from City
of Derry Airport took to the skies on Saturday 27th
January with school ski specialists, Topflight for
Schools. Staff and student groups from secondary schools
across the Northwest travelling on the inaugural service
to Verona were treated to some complimentary hospitality
to celebrate the occasion at the Airport. |

Director at City of Derry Airport, stated: “We are
thrilled to see the take-off of the first ever ski
service from City of Derry Airport with our fantastic
partner, Topflight for Schools. It’s a privilege that we
can now offer our local school children access to such a
fantastic life experience, especially from the
convenience of their local Airport."
The sold out Topflight for Schools 2024 programme will
be operating throughout January and February 2024 from
City of Derry Airport, and the Winter 2025 schedule is
now on sale.
Joe Walsh Tours are now offering fully escorted tours to
Lourdes from City of Derry Airport, for the Raphoe
Diocese in Donegal and the Derry Diocese, which
collectively encompass 84 parishes across the Northwest,
as well as a general tour open to anyone for booking.
The Raphoe Diocese will travel on the first service
taking off on Monday 27th May, followed by the Derry
Diocese on Monday 1st July and the general tour will
depart on Friday 5th July.
Package prices start from £759pp and include direct
return flights and airport taxes, 20kg check-in luggage,
airport transfers and assistance between Lourdes Airport
and full board hotel accommodation. |
