BUNCRANA is set to come
alive once again this Friday as Culture Night 2026
returns with an even bigger celebration of creativity,
culture and community.
Following the success of last year's inaugural Culture
Night Trail through the town, this year's event will
build on that momentum with an expanded programme of
activity, extending later into the evening and
transforming Buncrana into a vibrant cultural
destination after 6pm. |

Taking place on Friday, 18
September 2026, Culture Night Buncrana 2026 will once
again see the town come alive with a cultural trail. The
programme of events will be delivered under the theme
"Edge of the Atlantic, Heart and Sound of the Arts,"
celebrating Buncrana's unique identity through music,
storytelling, visual arts, performance and shared
cultural experiences.
This year's programme will feature an expanded range of
performances, exhibitions, workshops, live music,
storytelling and creative experiences, while continuing
to develop The Heart and Sound of Buncrana - a community
led cultural trail celebrating the people, places and
creativity that make Buncrana unique.
A key focus for 2026 is extending activity later into
the evening, encouraging residents and visitors to
explore Buncrana after dark while supporting local
businesses and contributing to the continued development
of the town's Night-Time Economy.
The Culture Night programme is being announced daily on
social media in the run up to the night, so please
follow ‘Buncrana by Night’ social media channels, with
artist announcements, venue spotlights and programme
highlights. |
