DONEGAL Local Community
Safety Partnership (LCSP) are launching the public
consultation element for the development of the Donegal
Local Community Safety Action Plan 2027 – 2030 and are
anxious to hear the views of the public on the issues
affecting community safety in your local community.
Proposed in-person public consultation events:
• Carndonagh Library
Wednesday, 30th of September from 2pm to 4pm
• Buncrana Library
Wednesday, 30th of September from 6pm to 8pm |

Community safety is about
people being safe and feeling safe in their own
communities. At the heart, is the fundamental principle
that every community has the right to be and to feel
safe so that it may thrive and flourish. The concept
encompasses both actual and perceived dimensions of
harm, emphasising that safety is not solely understood
by recorded crime statistics but also by individuals’
subjective experiences of fear, threat and insecurity.
The LCSP wishes to hear your views on Community Safety
and a short questionnaire is available online at
https://consult.donegal.ie until the public
consultation closes on Friday, 9th October 2026.
Hard copies of the questionnaire will also be available
for the duration of the public consultation period at
Moville Library. |
