MOVILLE'S Caiseal Mara Hotel has gone into
receivership but management has stressed that the 30
jobs there are safe.
Receiver, Seamus Farren of Farren Roarty, has been
appointed to Gallagher’s Hotel in Letterkenny and
Caiseal Mara Hotel by Bank of Scotland but it is
"business as usual". Both hotels are owned by local
businessman Hughie McGee.
Mark Langford, one of the hotel managers, explained:
“The company has gone into receivership but we would
like to stress that this will not affect the running
of the hotel. |
|
“It is very much
business as usual here and the hotel is being run as
a going concern by Seamus Farren, the receiver.
“There has been no job losses and there will not be
any job losses and, if anything, business is doing
really well.”
Mr Langford said he would like to reassure all the
groups who |
would normally use the
hotel or anybody who has booked a wedding, that the
hotel is still very much open for business.
He added: “There is no intention of closing the
hotel and if anyone wants to discuss their concerns
then they should feel free to call in and discuss
matters with either myself or the other manager.”
In March, a receiver was appointed to the Clanree
Hotel in Letterkenny, a week after a receiver was
appointed by Anglo Irish Bank to six businesses,
including Sister Sara’s pub and nightclub, the Dry
Arch Bar and two filling stations. |
