"This is an important
breakthrough for the people of Carndonagh. It has
been a long time since the town has had a plan,"
said Cllr MacLochlainn.
"Town plans are so important in that they provide an
agreed framework for a community to build into the
future. Carndonagh has suffered economically over
recent times but its strength, as always, is its
people and its community spirit. This town plan is a
unique opportunity for all to come together and have
a say on what needs to be done."
The Sinn Féin councillor said it was important that
people from all sectors in Carn got involved.
"It is really important that businesses, community
groups, sporting organisations and the people of
Carndonagh now contact Gerry Richards of the Central
Planning Unit at the Carndonagh Public Service
Centre. This is your plan and we need to get it
right for you," he added. |
