Radio spooktacular at ICRfm

AS HALLOWEEN
approaches, ICRfm will investigate 6 haunted
locations, over 6 ghostly nights with 6 crew - the
Devil's number's up in Inishowen!
Each of the six shows will feature interaction with
the public as the ‘Ghostly Encounters – The Devil’s
Number’ crew come live from the ICR studios each
night from 6 – 7pm beginning on Tuesday, October 26.
The series is being put together by Eddie Dee who,
while initially a sceptic, now believes "there’s
definitely something else out there’.
Some audio has already been recorded on location at
the six sites around Inishowen and the series has
been causing quite a buzz since ‘The Ghostly
Encounters’ Facebook page launched giving listeners
a preview of what they can expect to hear. |

From the Northburg
Castle in Greencastle to Fort Dunree in Buncrana,
Eddie and his team have chosen some of the most
‘haunted’ locations in the locality to carry out
their investigations. To ensure maximum ‘spookiness’
all audio was recorded after the witching hour of
midnight.
Local medium Jim Quinn joined the production team
on-location to help tap into the paranormal world
and connect to any spirits that they picked up on at
each site – and there were plenty. Jim said: “I felt
that the Fr. Hegarty’s Rock near Buncrana was the
location with most activity. I could feel the
presence of a lot of spirits and there was
definitely a lot of both good and bad energy there."
Each hour-long show will be presented by ICR’s
Margaret Donnelly while historian Sean Beattie will
also be live in studio each night to give historical
facts and hopefully back up any information being
sent in from the public. The interactive team will
be Eddie McLaughlin, Trudy McLaughlin, Sharon
McLaughlin and Liz Barr. There will be a number of
