A new charity with "big
visions" for local children has just been launched
in Greencastle. The Heart of a Child Fund is
planning a number of exciting events in the coming
weeks. The new charity has also pledged its support
for the Greencastle Community Playgroup. Among the
first of events being planned by The Heart of a
Child Fund are 'Angel Readings' on Wednesday, March
11 and Wednesday, March 18 in the Caiseal Mara
Hotel, Moville.
Places are limited and booking is essential. A fancy
dress St Patrick's Disco will also be organised for
St Eugene's Hall, on Sunday, March 15 for two to six
years old from 2pm - 4pm and for seven to twelve
year olds from 7pm - 9pm. Fun, games and prizes will
be provided. "This promises to be a great day out
for all the family while supporting their local
community. All proceeds will go to the Greencastle
Community Playgroup," said a spokesperson. The group
also needs volunteers to help with future events.
