INISHOWEN families are
being invited to a Nature Walk and Picnic on Monday,
May 4, 2009 at Inch Nature Reserve. The event is
being organised by Transition Inishowen and
activities will include a fun bug hunt, plant
dentification and bird watching from the hides on
the reserve. "Welcome the summer in and bring a
picnic. You can also bring musical instruments,
bicycles, poems to share, a dance to teach or a game
to play," said a spokesperson. The event will run
from 12 noon to 4pm and everyone is welcome.
Transition Inishowen wants to build community
resiliance and support the local economy by raising
awareness about peak oil, climate change and the
economic downturn. |
