O'Neill's have come up trumps in the Lottery again
after a lucky Derry man won a cool €125,000 on St.
Valentine's Day.
The winner, who asked to remain anonymous, collected
his cheque from Lotto HQ yesterday. “I am so used to
not winning and the shop assistant tearing up the
ticket that I couldn’t believe it when I was told I
had a winner," said the delighted winner in a
statement from the National Lottery.
“I have been playing Lotto for years but really
never thought this would happen to me - I am very
thankful”. The Derry man matched five numbers plus
the bonus number in the Saturday draw. Instead of
receiving the regular prize of €25,000, he won an
extra €100,000 as part of the Lottery's special
Valentine’s promotion.
“I'm over the moon. It certainly made my Valentine's
extra special. I intend buying my dance partner a
Valentine's present as I didn’t get to give her a
gift last week. Now I can get her something nice
with my winnings," he laughed. |
