THE 130th Moville
Regatta was a great success again this year,
according to the organisers. Despite some inclement
weather all of the 11 races planned were sailed over
the August Bank Holiday. The presentation of prizes
was very well attended in the Caiseal Mara Hotel.
"There was great local support for the regatta and
local businesses, Gillen's, Centra and The Point
kindly donated sandwiches and refreshments," said
committee member, John Steele.
"We thank all the local fishermen for the rescue
support and also the Derry Harbour board and Loughs
Agency. We also thank Garvin Meehan for doing flag
ship on The Aishlin." The following are the results
