New Moville school unveiled 09.11.09

EIGHT teachers and their pupils will move into their brand new school in Moville this week. The new-look Scoil Eoghain and its modern exterior has been unveiled to the public and one of its past pupils, Senator Cecilia Keaveney, yesterday expressed her pride in the new construction.
"It is very exciting for all involved to be moving into this beautiful new building. For teachers and pupils alike it will be the first time that everyone is on the one site in a real building. I know that this new dynamic will be very positive for the school," she said.
"For parents and many of them are, like me, past pupils, there is a curiosity to see what the new school on our 'old site' is like.

I was proud to have served on the board of management of the school and I'm delighted the Minister has ensured that items such as the eco friendliness of the school will assist to keep running costs lower."
Scoil Eoghain has also been awarded funding to kit the school out with
state-of-the-art computers, IT equipment and arts suite.
"I know that the €40,000 for the ICT in the school will make it a very technology friendly school too alongside the substantial funds made available to kit out the Arts Department. Even the much appreciated perimeter fencing will be welcome by those who enjoy football at the school."
Senator Keaveney added: "This is merely another positive addition to the educational infrastructure in Donegal and it is important that these investments continue as have been seen over the past decade."
