A MAJOR cross-border
strategy to develop and promote the four villages of
Redcastle, Quigley's Point, Muff and Culmore will be
launched on Sunday.
The four-year strategy by the Foyle West Villages
Network is the culmination of three years of
grassroots work by community leaders in the four
villages.
The plan entitled 'Area Audit and Strategy
2008-2012' will be launched in Quigley’s Point
Community Centre at 4.30pm on Sunday, December
14."People in the four village communities are all
invited to attend the celebratory event," said a
spokesperson. The project was supported by Border
Action through the EU Peace II Programme and was
part-financed by the Irish Government under the
National Development Plan.
Sunday's event is being held in conjunction with the
annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony. There will
also be a car boot sale in the local youth club from
4pm to 6pm. It is understood that Santa will arrive
"in spectacular fashion" during the event. |
