GARDAI in Inishowen are
appealing for information after a female bar worker
was robbed at gunpoint by two men. The incident
happened in the car park of Harry's bar and
restaurant in Bridgend between 2.30pm and 3pm on
Wednesday. Garda Inspector David Kelly said one of
the men, believed to have been armed with a handgun,
accosted the woman and snatched her handbag as she
got into her car. It is understood the raiders had
their faces covered with scarves. They then made off
in a silver-coloured saloon car with a Northern
registration. Inspector Kelly said while not
physically injured, the woman was badly shaken by
the attack. Anyone with information is asked to
contact Gardai in Buncrana on 07493 20540. |
