Inishowen Development Partnership logo unveiled 18.03.08

THE DESIGN that will become the corporate logo for the Inishowen Development Partnership (IDP) has been unveiled.
Moville Community College fourth year student Róis Sona came up with the winning design in a competition that was open to all secondary schools in the peninsula.
Inishowen Development Partnership joint manager, Denise McCool, said Róis's winning artwork - incorporating the letters I, D and P - had the right corporate feel with its clean lines and clear identity.
"The next step will be to work with a designer to develop the finished logo. Róis will also be part of this process so that she can have an input from her initial concept right through to the final design," said

The new logo was sought as part of the new corporate identity for the IDP which was formed last year from the merger of the Inishowen Partnership Company and Inishowen Rural Development Limited. When the final design is drafted, it will be used in future IDP literature and corporate branding material.
Pictured from left with Róis and Tara are Moville Community College art teacher Niamh Doherty, John McCarter, Anthony Doogan, Denise McCool and Andrew Ward. Meanwhile, runner up in the logo competition was Tara McCauley, from Drung, Quigley's Point, who also attends Moville Community College. Both 16 year olds, who received guidance during the competition from their art teacher, Niamh Doherty, got MP3 players as prizes.
A delighted Róis from Moville said: "I'm shocked and
delighted. I love art and it’s something I definitely want to keep up in the future." Sixteen-year old Tara was also thrilled with her great prize.
"I want to study art at university and hopefully go on to become an art teacher," she said. The teenagers received their prizes on Friday from IDP chairman, John McCarter who congratulated them on their achievement. The winners were also praised by IDP joint manager, Andrew Ward and their school principal Anthony Doogan.
