Jersey Day fun at Moville school 06.10.08

The principal of a primary school in Moville turned a blind eye on Friday when the children came in without their uniforms.
The pupils of Gaelscoil Cois Feabhail wore football jerseys into class to raise money for Irish charity GOAL, which works across Africa, Asia and Central America.
Principal Alicia Nic Earáin explained that for Jersey Day the children were encouraged to wear a football jersey of any sort to school. "We asked that each child make a contribution to this very worthwhile charity. Jersey Day is celebrated in schools and businesses alike throughout Ireland to raise funds for GOAL," she said. Gaelscoil Cois Feabhail is situated in the grounds of Moville GAA club and was first established in September 2001, with an intake of 13 pupils.
“We have now grown to a school of 87 children and are going from strength to strength. However we want to play our part not just in our local community but also in the wider global community too," added Alicia.
