When Jane met supermodel
Elle
04.03.08
YOUNG Jane McCauley who
has the quirky ability to talk backwards certainly
had no problems when she met supermodel Elle
McPherson.
Elle posed no conundrum for the Greencastle girl,
her name being a palindrome - spelt the same way
forwards and backwards.
Jane met the Australian model, also known as 'The
Body' backstage after their appearances on the Late,
Late Show on Friday night. |
"It was brilliant.
Everyone was nice to me and we had great fun," said
Jane, who was accompanied by her mum and dad Mary
and Leo.
However, the 10-year old Scoil Colmcille pupil did
encounter a little difficulty when wildlife expert
Sir David Attenborough asked if she could say his
name backwards.
"The David part wasn't a problem but she wasn't able
to do Attenborough because she couldn't spell it,"
said Leo. "If she can spell it, she can say it
backwards."
Mum Mary explained the |
|
background to her
daughter's tongue-twisting skill to Late, Late Show
host Pat Kenny. She told him that while her daughter
could do it for several years, the family only found
on New Year's Day.
Among the other guests on the RTE primetime show,
was Mary Anne O'Brien, founder of Lily O'Brien's
handmade chocolates and the Jack and Jill Foundation
charity.
Much to the excitement of the other McCauley
children - Kate, Sarah, James and Emma - Mary Anne
invited the whole McCauley clan to come and visit
the chocolate factory at Easter. Mmmmm...etalocohc!
