Gardai are
investigating the shooting of a man in St. Johnston
last night. Three masked men, two armed with hand
guns and one with a pick axe handle, entered a house
in the area and shot the man in both legs. He was
taken to Letterkenny General Hospital where he is
being treated for his injuries which are not life
threatening.
Two men and a woman who were in the house at the
time, were not injured. The attackers escaped in a
white Cavalier car belonging to the victim. This was
later found burnt out in Lifford. The scenes at St.
Johnston and Lifford have been preserved for
technical examination. |
