Inishowen mini-heatwave to subside
16.05.08
INISHOWEN basked in
brilliant sunshine yesterday in an unseasonable
heatwave that has confounded forecasters for some
days. |
While a return to more
usual May values is expected today, bright sunny
spells will continue to feature. Wednesday and
Thursday this week saw temperatures well into double
digits with the mercury rising high particularly in sheltered
spots. According to the forecasters, values are
expected to struggle |
|
to rise above 15°C
today, tomorrow and Sunday.
Met Eireann says the outlook is for "cooler weather
compared to the high values of recent days" but it
should remain largely dry and bright.
Saturday will bring a mix of sunny spells and
scattered showers, some of which will be heavy.
Sunday and Monday will be largely dry and bright,
with good sunny spells and the odd shower. The
nights will remain mild with some mist or fog
patches. For more sunny pics
