AMBITIOUS plans are in
process to stage a production of 'Oliver! The
Musical' later this year in Buncrana.
A small team have been working on developing this
community project and are in the process of securing
the rights to the production.
Auditions will be held during the month of May for
all principal parts both adult and children.
If you are interested in participating, either
through performing or helping out backstage, you are
invited to an open meeting in the Buncrana Community
Centre on Sunday, April 27 at 4pm. Only adults
should attend this meeting as children will be
invited to participate through their schools.
"We need a strong cast and a solid backstage crew to
help with set painting, sound, lighting, costumes,
musicians, make up, catering, stage hands,
supervising and prompting," said a spokesperson.
The producers hope to stage 'Oliver' in November
2008 in St Mary’s Hall.
