X-RAY services at
Carndonagh Community Hospital will be disrupted over
the coming weeks, it's emerged.
Inishowen Senator Cecilia Keaveney said patients
were currently unable to get an x-ray due to a
staffing matter. |
She said the x-ray
facility at the local community hospital would be
disrupted for at least a couple of weeks.
“The fact that a number of patients are not able to
have x-rays in Carndonagh at present is an issue
that has been brought to my attention," she said. |
|
"I have contacted the
HSE on the matter and they have informed me that
they will endeavour to minimise disruption and if
possible provide locum cover during this time." It
is understood the disruption is due to staff
illness.
Senator Keaveney said it was important that services
to patients were maintained at the north Inishowen
hospital.
"Indeed I look forward to the day when x-ray
capacity may be available at our primary health
centres, which would improve further the delivery of
health service to our patients," added Senator
Keaveney. |
