Gardai have appealed
for witnesses to a fatal road accident near
Ballybofey in the early hours of Monday.
The single-vehicle accident, which claimed the life
of a woman in her early 20s from the Derry area, took place on the
N15 at McGrory’s Brae between Donegal Town and
Ballybofey.
A man and three children survived the accident and
were taken to Letterkenny Hospital where their
condition was described as stable.
Divisional Supt. Vincent O’Brien explained: “At the
bottom of McGrory’s Brae, the road goes into a
series of bends and at this particular spot, a
green-coloured Landrover Discovery left the road and
unfortunately the front seat passenger was fatally
injured.
“The man and three children are very fortunate to
have survived this accident.”
He appealed to anyone who was travelling on the N15
between Donegal Town and Ballybofey between 1.30am
and 2.30am on Monday to contact Gardai in Ballybofey
on 07491 31002 or any Garda station.

yesterday afternoon.
